What will be the official name of the university comprising the integrated UMDNJ and Rutgers University?
As of July 1, 2013, the official name of the integrated university will be Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.
Will the name UMDNJ be retained to identify any part of the integrated Rutgers University?
No. The name University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) will be retired effective July 1, 2013.
Will UMDNJ’s logo and visual identity system be retired as part of the integration with Rutgers?
Yes. UMDNJ’s visual identity system—including all UMDNJ logos, shields, and marks—will be retired effective July 1, 2013.
Where can I go to learn about the Rutgers Visual Identity System and how it will apply to UMDNJ schools after the integration?

Will the names of the UMDNJ schools change after the integration?
Yes, as of July 1, 2013, “Rutgers” will replace “UMDNJ” in all school names. The following lists the new formal names:
What should be done with UMDNJ-branded stationery and interoffice envelopes?
All UMDNJ-branded stationery should be recycled, effective July 1, 2013. Interoffice envelopes may be recycled or have labels printed with the Rutgers brand placed over the UMDNJ name and/or logos. For more information about how to use the Rutgers Visual Identity System on stationery, visit identity.rutgers.edu. Additionally, the UMDNJ print shop now has the templates for Rutgers stationery material and may assist units with those needs.
